The New, Very Limited Rolls-Royce Ghost Prism Has 1,040 Interior Lights

Rolls-Royce knows there’s no better reason to dress up than a birthday party.

The iconic British brand has recently unveiled the Ghost Prism, a special edition to celebrate the fashion and the brand’s 120th anniversary. For the latter reason, this luxurious sedan will be produced in a limited edition of only 120 units.

The Ghost Prism is for drivers whose personal sense of style is rooted in a love of deep, neutral colors, bold accents and well-designed shapes. This option is available in any one of the dozens of colors offered by Rolls-Royce, but the illustration is in Gunmetal Grey, a rich metallic hue achieved by applying and storing four coats of paint in a 16-hour process. Nearly every detail of the car’s mirror-polished stainless steel, including the grille and attractive rear fascia, was painted a smoky color called burnout. Finally, there are four different combinations – Phoenix Red, Torches, Mandarin and Forge Yellow – which add vibrant pops of color to complement the car’s base color.

The bright touches have been carried over to the unchanged Ghost Prism interior. The color is integrated into the steering wheel, instrument panel and seat inserts. You can also find it with 1,040 lights or “stars” integrated into the bespoke Starlight Fabric leather headliner, giving each example a different, distinctive look.

Based on the press release, it is clear that the variant is a special exterior trim and not a premium model. Thus its transmission continued. However, we don’t think many people will face this problem. The interior is powered by a V-12 engine from one of the automaker’s brands. The 6.7-liter engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that produces 563 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. Despite the Ghost’s power, it can still go from zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph.

Rolls-Royce did not say whether the entire production process had been discussed or the price announced, but it is known that the replacement cost will exceed the normal price of $350,000.
